As soon as I started playing with their 'Nevin's Psychic Testing Cards' I knew I had a kilerr routine for it which I called... Dr Nevin's Compass' 
 
“In the early 1930’s, Karl Zener and J B Rhine were developing a simple set of cards designed to test the psychic ability of those claiming to have extra sensory abilities. The issue is, fraudulent psychic’s came from far and wide, slowing down research and discrediting the scientists. 
 
Dr Peter Nevin became obsessed with these fake psychics and working out their methods. He and his wife never believed in psychics and even went as far as creating a secret message that only they knew so should one pass away, if that message ‘came through from the other side’ it would be confirmation of existence of spirits.
 
He realised that the symbol cards Zener and Rhine created were too simple and allowed supposed psychic couples to create secret codes they would covertly telegraph to each other and allowed them the ability to appear psychic. So he created his own version of Zener’s cards. Card’s with complex images and symbology. Making it harder for fraudsters to deduce…”
 
An old cigarette tin is shown, inside is 10 image cards and 1 photo of Dr Peter Nevin. Five cards are handed to the spectator who is asked to cut his cards as many times as he chooses. The performer does the same. Both the spectator and performer then remove one card at random and place it onto the table. 
 
“From 5 cards, you chose one and I mirrored your every action and yet somehow, we came to the same conclusion…”
 
Both cards are turned over and shown to be matching, the Compass! 
 
“Remember I told you Dr Nevin had a secret message for his wife…”
 
The photo is turned over and on the back is a message: “My heart is a Compass, it aways leads me back to you…”
